Book your free chat
A free, no-obligation conversation with Phil about how defined benefit pension transfers and the advice process work. Tell us a little about your pension and he'll be in touch to arrange it.
Your enquiry
Our free chat and introductions are for people living in the UK with a private-sector defined benefit or LGPS pension that has a transfer value of £50,000 or more.
What the chat covers
- How defined benefit pensions and transfer values work
- What you would give up by transferring
- How regulated advice works, what it involves and how it is charged
- Where to find free, impartial guidance
It is general information, not advice. We won't comment on whether a transfer is right for you. If you'd like regulated advice and your transfer value is £50,000 or more, we can introduce you to an FCA-authorised firm that holds the pension transfer permission. You don't have to use the firm we introduce you to. Arthur Browns may receive a fee from the firm we introduce you to if you become their client.
Who we can help
- People living in the UK
- Members of funded defined benefit schemes, such as private-sector company schemes and the Local Government Pension Scheme
- People who haven't started taking that pension
- Transfer values of £50,000 or more
If your transfer value is under £50,000, we can't arrange an introduction, but MoneyHelper offers free, impartial guidance. Members of the NHS, Teachers', Civil Service, Armed Forces, Police and Firefighters' schemes can't transfer to a personal pension. Find out why.
